Wow, I just found my bookmark to this page and realized that I got so caught up in life at Belmont to stay on track with this. The weeks that followed my last post were no doubt the most epic—from being stalked to celebrating my first flawless Valentine’s Day to getting a new puppy, Jake—no worries, it’s summer break and I’m stuck in a small town, so this will no doubt be continued.

But, for now, meet my new puppy (who is a lot bigger now.)

today at work, I was pushing a little girl on the swing set. she leaned backwards and told me that I was beautiful. I told her she was gorgeous, so she said to me, “no i’m not; my mommy and daddy and my friends at school tell me I look like a boy.” </3After ten minutes of convincing her that she was beautiful, I made her pinky promise me that no matter what for the rest of her life she would believe that she was gorgeous. |||Every little girl should be told they are beautiful.

After waking up late in the day, I decided to drive to Crossville and surprise my family. Wednesday is my grandma’s birthday; she told my parents (and everyone else who asked her what she would like for her birthday) that the only thing she could think of was me coming home. The look on her face when I walked in the door made the long drive worth it!

Afterwards, I spent some time with my little brother, Brandon, watching Fast Five. Then, I let dad help me with my math homework.

I missed my family.

Friday: I woke up feeling worse than I did on Thursday, so I skipped all my classes..again.. and slept all day. When I did end up waking up to get ready for dinner with Mike’s parents, who were in town for his birthday, the sickness had taken my voice away. Now, there’s a great first impression. Marissa and I headed to Greens Hills mall to get a Flyer’s colored tank top and hot tea (chocolate) from Teavana. I HATE TEA in general—hot or cold, all is disgusting, but this was my only hope. After half of the cup, I was able to speak for the most part and get back to Belmont just in time to ride to the restaurant with Mike. It was all good until I ordered ice water and it reversed what the tea had done. Regardless, dinner was nice. Later, I was chilling in the dorm exploring Pinterest when Stephanie burst into my room saying she was kidnapping me and before I knew it we were in her car on the interstate with only her promise to get me back to Belmont before the hockey game the next day. We ended up in Smyrna at her friends house and having an insane night.

Saturday: Steph managed to get me back in time to get ready for the Flyers/Predators game that night with Mike and his parents. I decided to be a nice girlfriend and wear Flyers colors. Even though they ended up losing and I almost got knocked out by a flying puck, I ended up having a really nice night with him and his family. Afterwards, Marissa and I exchanged Christmas presents. She got me a toboggan and two shot glasses. All of which were from London. :)

Sunday: This morning I woke up, met Mike, and had another nice meal with him and his family before his parents left for the airport. Afterwards, it was back to bed until 5 or 6. Marissa and I met up with Kent, Aaron, Sarah, and Hannah for dinner in the curb. Kent taught us all how to play Rook afterwards until Mike came downstairs and we ended up going to BK for food. Now, its 5 o clock in the morning and I can’t sleep because I slept all day. I’m sick of doing homework so its time for a drive around Nashville by myself.

Overall, this week was a crazy, great one.

Thursday: I woke up to go to CEM lab with a major cold from standing out in the rain for a while the night before. (Shocker.) So, I ended up skipping math class and going to the mail center where i received: 1) beautiful charm from Frances for my Pandora bracelet. 2) my lazar keyboard FINALLY! Later that night, Anna and I had a Grey’s Anatomy night with Papa Johns pizza and for once didn’t have to have biology follow it! Mike met me outside my dorm later with birthday cake and Ernest the pillow-pet-moose. <3

..Thursday was perfect.

Tuesday: At 2 in the morning, Mike and I went on a walk around campus. Afterwards, we went to BK.

Best night of 2012 thus far? Tuesday.

Mike’s birthday, so at midnight Tuesday we were downtown with Chris, Jimmy, and Lauren in the rain looking out onto the Nashville skyline to ring it in correctly. This just so happens to also my busy day of the week. After drinking several energy drinks to get through all of my classes, I went to his dorm and gave him his presents. <3

My classes were done by 12 today, so instead of taking a nap I finished my Understanding the Bible and Math Inquiry homework, watched Pretty Little Liars, and then spent the next few hours writing more in my 2012 journal.

Every year I start one of these but never finish it, but this year I am absolutely determined to get it done! I want to remember all of the little things that happen, especially in Nashville. I haven’t even gotten to 2012; I started with it on August 19th and 52 pages later I am on Christmas Break..I’m getting there! :D

Tonight I went with Kent to pick up Marissa from the airport. We stopped by Sonic on the way back, but then he got pulled over.

On the way there we made bets on how long it would take her to destroy the clean room I managed to achieve and keep…within five minutes it was destroyed. WELCOME BACK ROOMIE!

But on a different note…gahhhh, why does the weekend have to be over???

Had an epic day of doing absolutely nothing (excluding the one song I played on guitar hero before remembering how I hate the game) until six when I went to Green Hills to get my phone up and working again.
The rest of the day/night was spent hanging out with Mike. <3

Can everyday be a Saturday?
